The New York Building Congress – a broad-based membership association celebrating its 88th year – is committed to promoting the growth and success of the construction industry in New York City and its environs.

The Building Congress provides a unique forum to advance an industry-wide agenda focusing on economic and infrastructure investment, job creation and professional exchange among the contractors, architects, engineers, unions, real estate managers, developers, owners and service providers who comprise the building community.

NEW YORK BUILDING CONGRESS SUPPORTS CONTINUED FUNDING OF CITY CAPITAL PLAN

During testimony to the New York City Council and via a policy statement released to members and other key stakeholders, the New York Building Congress today offered qualified support for New York City’s revised Ten-Year Capital Plan, which it said is significantly improved from the initial plan presented by Mayor Bloomberg in January. That plan had called for a 30 percent reduction in overall capital spending.
