New York Building Congress members are the builders, shapers and guardians of the buildings and infrastructure that sustain this thriving metropolis. We are construction managers, contractors, skilled union workers, architects, engineers, real estate managers, developers and other professionals.

Our membership organizations comprise more than 150,000 men and women from 325 business, labor, professional, association and governmental organizations representing all sectors of the design, construction and real estate industry.

We are a unique coalition that focuses on broad, long-term issues that are of concern to everyone in the building community and vital to the quality of life of all New Yorkers.

We are an industry that accounts for:

300,000 jobs;

$100 billion of annual output;

25 percent of the city's economy.
