Significant plans are moving forward to develop Moynihan Station, extend the #7 subway line, construct new transit hubs and a World Trade Center Memorial in Lower Manhattan, and create vibrant new waterfront spaces, such as Brooklyn Bridge Park and the Stapleton Waterfront. Spending for public school construction is greater than in recent years and will continue at high levels, if the State Legislature fully funds recent court mandates.

The City and State are also moving forward with plans to enact a vital and long overdue expansion of the Javits Convention Center and soliciting proposals from developers to radically remake Governors Island. Thanks to a public-private partnership, New York’s largest center for biotechnology will soon rise on the Bellevue Hospital campus in Manhattan.
