PRESIDENT RICHARD T. ANDERSON ON
GOVERNOR SPITZER’S STATE OF THE STATE ADDRESS

“The building community is particularly gratified that Governor Spitzer’s State of the State address emphasized continued support for major development projects Statewide and a commitment to resolve downstate’s looming energy shortage. The Governor’s leadership, together with Mayor Bloomberg, is essential to realizing the potential for growth and revitalization inherent in projects like the Second Avenue Subway, Brooklyn Bridge Park and Moynihan Station, and to expediting the construction of the next generation of cleaner, more efficient power plants to supply electricity to these and other significant projects in all five boroughs. The Building Congress stands ready to assist the Governor’s efforts in conjunction with the Mayor, the State Legislature and the City Council.”
