RoundUp Sept/Oct, 2015

A number of events have created the first realistic opportunity to develop a funding plan and advance efforts to build a new trans-Hudson rail connection since the ARC tunnel project was cancelled in 2010. In recently delivered testimony at a hearing of the New York City Council Committee of Land Use, the Building Congress voiced its support of Intro 775. The bill would help streamline the landmark process and create a clearly defined timeline for identifying and designating landmarks in New York City. The Building Congress also supports Intro 837, which would create a searchable, public database of properties under LPC's purview and their status. To read the full testimony, please click here.
