New York Building Congress CEO on the future of infrastructure, housing in state

Gov. Kathy Hochul is in Washington D.C. this week and met with the New York Congressional delegation on federal funding for infrastructure and technology in the state.

This comes a week after President Joe Biden’s visit to Manhattan, during which he highlighted grants for the long-awaited train tunnel under the Hudson River.

Carlo Scissura, the president and CEO of the New York Building Congress, joined Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Thursday to discuss the state of infastructure projects and housing in New York.

Both Mayor Eric Adams and Hochul have been prioritizing their housing plans.

Specifically, Hochul has proposed building more than 800,000 housing units over the next decade, saying her plan will attract new jobs and development.
