We regret to announce the passing of Edward J. Malloy, former President of the Building & Construction Trades Council of Greater New York and the New York State Building Trades, and a former Vice Chairman of the New York Building Congress.
The following notice was submitted to The New York Times on behalf of the Building Congress.
The Officers and Directors of the New York Building Congress remember and celebrate the life and professional accomplishments of our former Vice Chairman, Edward J. Malloy, for his leadership of the building and construction industry in the City and State of New York. His ability to bring together the building trades and to forge common positions with management, government, and the community at large was enormously helpful and productive. He will always be remembered for his extraordinary stewardship during good and bad economic times and for his uncommon ability to inspire us all.
